Janine grew up in Cranbrook and graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2007, following a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, she has worked with individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of orthopaedic, neurological, chronic pain, and complex health conditions.
Throughout her career, Janine has continued to expand her clinical knowledge through post-graduate education in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, pediatric rehabilitation, sports and running injuries, TMJ dysfunction, post-operative care, acupuncture, and biomedical dry needling. She is a certified Biomedical Dry Needling practitioner and draws on a range of approaches—including dry needling, manual therapy, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, cupping, exercise prescription, and patient education—tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
Janine has a special interest in pediatrics and extensive experience working with children in both school and community settings. She treats neurological and orthopedic conditions, developmental delays, disabilities, and gross motor concerns, as well as infants with motor skill difficulties, torticollis, feeding challenges, and plagiocephaly. Her pediatric approach is individualized, engaging, and often play-based, with the goal of helping children build confidence and participate more fully in the activities that matter to them.
Janine believes effective physiotherapy goes beyond treating symptoms. She works collaboratively with each patient to understand their goals, provide patient education, develop practical home exercise programs, and build the skills and confidence needed for recovery, injury prevention, and return to meaningful activity.
Committed to lifelong learning, Janine continues to pursue professional development to deliver evidence-based care.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors with friends and family—trail running, hiking, golfing, mountain biking, skiing, and exploring everything the beautiful Kootenays have to offer.
